PPMA Conducts Relief Operation to Taal Volcano Victims
With the intent to alleviate the flight of those affected by Taal volcano eruption, PPMA has organized a relief operation to the residents of Lemery and Taal last 28 January 2020.
The relief operation team consists of PPMA Pres. Ferdi Raquelsantos, PPMA Secretariat Ms. Carol Teodones, Mr. Edwin Gallor and Mr. Rowen Managuit of Multiflex along with their 2 other helpers, Mr. Morales of Autofir Enterprises as logistics personnel. It was facilitated by the Rotary Club of Taal-Lemery headed by Mr. Richard De Leon.
In addition to the allocated budget by PPMA, some of its members contributed their own donations/services.
1. Multiflex RNC Phils. - donated 200 pcs of foam mattresses and transport these with their service vehicle
2. Form Asia - donated 50 packs of hygiene kits and used clothes
3. Toyo Seat Phils. - donated 100 pcs of pillows
4. Autofir Enterprises – provided logistics for transfer of goods
The team visited one of the most devastated areas inside the danger zone. As the residents were permitted to return to their homes after the alert level was lowered down by Phivolc to No. 3, they were able to provide relief goods to 250 people and their families on their way to recovery. In this way PPMA was able to take the first step to ease or somehow give comfort to their current situation. To PPMA, congratulations for a job well done.
Again we would like to recognize everyone who took part to this activity, and to those who did their own series of activities of the same. From the bottom of our hearts, MARAMING SALAMAT PO!
